Long established rice cracker (“Sembei” in Japanese) shop founded in 1923 at which the soy sauce flavor passed down from two generations remains the shop’s unique flavor. Sumo rice crackers known as “Gachinko Yaki” are perennial favorite. Recently a number of new products are also sold such as the local speciality “Oshinari-kun Sembei” and “Nuresofuto” a unique snack involving whipped ice cream being sandwiched between softened rice crackers.
