Ueno Kameido
上野亀井堂
Established in 1890, Ueno Kameido continues to offer its traditional, time-honored Japanese sweets such as Kawarasenbei (tile-shaped cookies that are baked in the same way as Japanese Kasutera sponge cake) and Bunraku Ningyo-yaki, cookies that consist of batter poured into special molds that resemble the faces of Bunraku puppets, filled with sweetened bean paste and then baked.
