Ueno Zoo is Japan’s oldest zoo, and opened in 1882. The zoo keeps around 500 species, including pandas, elephants, gorillas and tigers. The children’s zoo, where it is possible to interact with small animals such as sheep, cows and chickens, makes an enjoyable experience for parents and their children.

Please note that if Monday is a national holiday the zoo will be open on Monday and closed the following day.

Adults (16-64 yrs) 600 yen, Seniors (65+ yrs) 300 yen, Students (13-15 yrs) 200 yen, Children (0-12 yrs) Free
Free for junior high school students living in Tokyo or attending schools in Tokyo.
