Hatonosu Valley

Hatonosu Valley, the most beautiful valley in Okutama, has the Tama River running between gigantic, bizarre rocks under cliffs of about 40 m high. The valley appears remarkably beautiful with autumn leaves, particularly with the mind-blowing scenery from the suspension bridge (Hatonosu-kobashi). On the up-river side, you can see the fishway to let fish pass through the Shiromaru Dam, which was built to regulate the flow of the Tama River.
