Marunouchi’s main street glowing in champagne gold

Stretching more than 1.2 km, this display features more than 200 trees lining Marunouchi Naka-dori Street glowing in "champagne gold". For "Marunouchi Bright Christmas 2017" (ending December 25), artists have created a special fantasy space with Christmas trees and lights, under the theme of "Flowers", around the Marunouchi and Shin-Marunouchi Buildings.

Enjoy lights sparkling in winter and warm tones

Welcoming some 7 million visitors last Christmas season, Roppongi Hills presents a beautifully graduated illumination display in two alternating color tones—blue/white and amber/candle—comprising approx. 1.2 million LED lights decorating an approx. 400 m long avenue of Zelkova trees. Other must-see attractions are the approx. 7 m tall Christmas tree glowing with approx. 5,000 LED lights, approx. 400 incandescent lights, and the unique trees decorated with spherical ornaments.

A "Town of Sparkling Lights" realized through the collaboration of 10 facilities

Brightly decorating five office buildings, four hotels, and one department store in Nishishinjuku, all within walking distance of one another, this illumination display begins with a simultaneous light-up of all the decorations at 17:00 on Day 1 of the event. The trees around each participating building are hung with glittering lights, and visitors can enjoy various Christmas trees and Christmas events at each facility while shopping or dining.

Presenting exclusive SKYTREE lighting as well as a garden of lights

To transform TOKYO SKYTREE® into the world’s tallest Christmas tree, the tower is illuminated with exclusive decorative lighting. The garden of lights features flower beds decorated with star- and heart-shaped lights in a French-style garden layout centered on a flower Christmas tree, while the walls of TOKYO SKYTREE® provide the screen for projection mapping synchronized with Christmas songs.

NIHONBASHI—Forest of Shooting Stars
A 9-minute walk from Nihonbashi Station on the Toei Asakusa Line.

A magical collaboration of shooting stars and illuminations

During this period when three groups of shooting stars make their appearance in the sky, multiple moving lights move in unison with shooting stars, detected by a measurement system and resonating with the mirror ball symbol Christmas tree to create a magical space. This experiential illumination display also features a "Couple Monument" which rains down shooting stars on couples holding hands and various other attractions for visitors to enjoy.

A performance co-starring illuminations, night views, and marine creatures

The Marine Garden in the outdoor area of Sunshine Aquarium presents an illumination display of approx. 6,000 twinkling lights, while at the Flying Penguins Pool, visitors can enjoy the wondrous sight of African penguins swimming, looking like they are flying in Tokyo’s night sky. The Sunshine City Fountain Plaza features a Northern European-style Christmas tree shimmering with some 6,000 lights hung by Tonttus (Finnish Christmas elves).
