The fresh breezes make May the perfect month for playing outside. So, why not visit a park along a Toei line for fun with the whole family? And the various things to play on make a great setting for family photos and videos as well.

Asukayama Park

The whole Asukayama area is a park. The big elephant slide is a popular attraction. Sit on its trunk for a fun photo opportunity! The park also displays a Toden tram and a D51 locomotive, so is a must-visit for train-loving photographers. Visitors can take the Asuka Park Rail, a monorail train, to the top of the hill, and see the Tokyo Sakura Tram running below.

Toneri-ikiki Park

Pop out of the red ogre's mouth and down the slide!

Decorations and playthings at this park are based on characters from fairy tales such as Momotaro and Kachi-Kachi Yama. Particularly impressive is the red ogre slide. He never winces, no matter how many children climb all over him! There is also an Ogre Island-themed obstacle course inspired by the Momotaro tale.

Hon Shiba Park

A play-boat where the coastline used to be.

This park was built on land reclaimed from a waterway. In the old days, it was where fish caught in Tokyo Bay were unloaded. It has a large boat-themed slide. Railway lines run close by, so you can see various types of train going past.

Banana Park

A banana slide-what could be slipperier?

All the playground equipment in this small park is banana-themed! The park is in a quiet residential district, and the banana-shaped slide and spring-mounted banana-shaped hobbyhorses are also popular with photographers. Small children love the banana hobbyhorses, which provide an unexpected thrill.

Ooyokogawa Shinsui Park

A roller slide from off the boat

This long, narrow park has a total length of 1.85 km. At its northern end, next to Narihira Bridge, is a play area centered on a management office shaped like a boat. The roller slide starting from the rooftop of the office is very popular, and there is also a slide for young children.

Imai Children's Traffic Amusement Park

Fun mid-air cycling in Traffic Amusement Park

Children can learn traffic rules here, riding bicycles and driving go-karts through courses with traffic signals and crosswalks. The Rainbow Cycle is popular with visitors, who can enjoy mid-air cycling for free. There are also a slide, swings, and other playthings on the grounds.
