Asukayama Park

Enjoy the autumn scenery that the common people of Edo loved

The leaves of the cherry tree changing in autumn is called "Sakura-Momiji (cherry tree autumn leaves)." This has been a famous flower viewing spot since the Edo period, and the stunning autumn leaves of the cherry tree can be enjoyed together with the trident maple and the Japanese maple. You can sit in the driver's seat in the SL on display. This is very popular with children. There are also coral playground equipment and an elephant-shaped slide.

Toneri Park

Over 200 metasequoia trees are lined up in rows, dazzling against the autumn sky

The sight to see in biggest park in Adachi-ku, and one of the largest in the city, is the brick-dyed metasequoia trees. With their trees filled with red-colored leaves, "Oike pond" is a great spot for capturing images, and the trees around it are home to many types of wild birds. You can enjoy bird watching there. Children are also delighted with athletic equipment, "Sori Gerende (sled slopes)" on an artificial lawn, and playthings for toddlers.

Hikarigaoka Park

One of the few famous places in Tokyo for the ginkgo

Two rows of trees can be enjoyed: "Fureai no Michi" which is lined with ginkgo trees that are approximately 130 years old, and the "Icho Namiki (ginkgo trees)" lined up forming a stunning golden tunnel. Enjoy an autumn day observing the vast 2.4 hectares of the wild bird conservation area via telescope or play in the "Shibafu Hiroba (grass park)" or "Konchu Harappa (insect world)."

Hibiya Park

Enjoy the colors of fall at a historic Western-style park

Opened in 1903, this is Japan's first modern Western-style park. The "Kumogata-ike pond" where ginkgo and maple trees reflect off the water, and the ginkgo trees that keep the designs of the time that the park was opened, are particularly recommended as a spot for enjoying the autumn leaves. You can relax with your children in the "Kusachi Hiroba (grass field)" that offers playground equipment for kids, and the spaces located throughout the park.

Sarue-onshi Park

Enjoy the variety of colorful autumn leaves in the trees

Visitors can see a variety of autumn leaves such as the Japanese varnishtree, the Chinese elm, the ginkgo and metasequoia and others. The park's history is very old. It began with the award of a portion of the park to commemorate the marriage of Emperor Showa in 1924. It is divided into the calm southern garden bordering Shin-Ohashi Street and the northern garden that offers a "Bouken Hiroba (Adventure Square)" where visitors can enjoy playground equipment.

Hamacho Park

A tunnel of golden ginkgo

The sightseeing spot in Hamacho Park is definitely the ginkgo trees. The trees offer a wonderful respite for the eyes of visitors to the cherry and Japanese zelkova trees. The park offers sporting facilities and a playground area, making it perfect for parents and children to spend an autumn day together. Visitors can also take a leisurely stroll along the Sumida River from the park.
