Centering on Marunouchi Naka-dori, the area’s main street, the 286 or so trees lining the streets of the Marunouchi District are illuminated in champagne gold. Held for the 23rd time this year, this annual event has become a winter tradition.

Colorful lights inside Arakawa Amusement Park sparkle, and there are shows and projection mapping events. From the Ferris wheel, you can enjoy the sight of an illuminated Tokyo Skytree and a carpet of twinkling lights spread out below.

Using some 170,000 LED lights, this illumination display is the largest in the Tokyo-Kyobashi area. LED lights and decorations powered by electricity derived from renewable energy sources have been used to make this a sustainable event.

The streets of Nippori Fabric Town are lined with a variety of specialty shops selling mainly fabrics but also buttons, sewing utensils, and other related items. During this season only, the arch symbolizing Fabric Town is decorated with sparkling Christmas wreaths.
