Oji Inari Shrine

The "Kite Market" has been held since the Edo period. It is said to have started when people bought the shrine’s traditional kites as charms to protect against fires. Honoring these kites is believed to bring protection from fire, good health, and business success, making the event popular with many.

Zojoji Temple

The "Setsubun Tsuina Ceremony," held on February 3 (Tuesday), is a traditional event to drive away misfortune and evil. On the special stage, there will be mochi pounding and an "Oni-Mondo ceremony" performed by preschool children. The bean-tossing ceremony features many entertainers and celebrities, making it a lively and popular tradition each year.

Nishiarai-daishi Temple

At Nishiarai-daishi Temple, a Daruma memorial service will be held on the morning of February 3 (Tuesday), followed by the Setsubun Festival in the afternoon. The Daruma memorial service features the burning of tens of thousands of Daruma dolls that have completed their purpose, and is an impressive spectacle. At the Setsubun Festival, beans are thrown from a special platform in the front of the main hall.

Suitengu Shrine

Suitengu Shrine has long been revered as a deity of safe childbirth and child blessings. This shrine is also famous for its "Inu no Hi" prayer rituals, which are held on the Day of the Dog to pray for safe childbirth. On February 3 (Tuesday), a bean-tossing ceremony is held to ward off misfortune and invite good fortune, attracting many visitors each year.

Koishikawa Korakuen Gardens

This year, the plum blossom festival "To the Garden Scented with Plum Blossoms" will be held again. Stroll among about 150 plum trees in the garden and enjoy a variety of events, including calligraphy experiences, traditional performances, a tea ceremony, and a stamp rally, all while surrounded by the vibrant fragrance of plum blossoms.
