How to ride the bus with a stroller

On Toei buses, by fixing the stroller with the (green or blue) belt provided inside the bus, you can ride with your child in the stroller.
There are two places to secure wheelchairs and strollers inside the bus (see 「Boarding space when using a stroller」below). If the wheelchair/stroller is already secured, please fold the stroller or use the next bus.

In addition, we may ask you to fold the stroller before boarding. (Please check [Precautions when using a stroller].)
Please note that the way of boarding is different for single-seat strollers (vertical double strollers) and horizontal double strollers.

1．In the case of a single-seat stroller (vertical double stroller)

①Board from the front door facing forward

Board from the front door (rear door in the Tama area) facing forward.
（Pay fare when boarding. ）

②Attach the stroller to the designated seat (*) facing backwards

Place the stroller next to the designated seat facing backwards of running direction, and lock the stroller wheel stoppers.

③Secure the stroller with a green belt

Secure the stroller with the green belt hanging from armrest of the seat (black part). There is also a buckle type of belt.

*Green belts are attached to designated seats (*). (2 seats)

*If you do not know how to use the green belt, please ask the crew.

④Hold on to the handrails and straps to hold the stroller firmly while the bus is running.

Do not forget to fasten the seat belt of stroller!

⑤Facing backwards when getting off

After arriving bus has stopped at the bus stop, detach the belt that fix stroller and unlock stroller wheel, and get off the bus facing backwards through the rear door.

2．In the case of a horizontal double stroller

①Please talk to the crew at the front door.

（Also, if you find it difficult to board by yourself, the crew will assist you, so please ask the crew for help as well.）

③Crew folds the seat

Crew folds two seats to secure space for fixing stroller.

④Attached to the designated seat (*) facing backwards

Place the stroller next to the designated seat facing backwards of running direction, and lock the stroller wheel stoppers.

⑤Secure the stroller with a blue belt

Secure the stroller in two places using two blue belts hanging from the handrail. （If you do not know how to fix it, please ask the crew for guidance.）（After fixing the belt, pay the fare.）

⑥Hold on to the handrails and straps to hold the stroller firmly while the bus is running.

Do not forget to fasten the seat belt of stroller!

⑦Facing backwards when getting off

After arriving bus has stopped at the bus stop, detach the belt that fix stroller and unlock stroller wheel, and get off the bus facing backwards through the rear door.

Precautions when using a stroller

Please lock the wheels, fasten your child's seat belt, and hold firmly during the ride.
When a passenger rides with a horizontal double stroller, we would ask passengers who sit in the seats where is the area to fix stroller (two seats per stroller) to yield. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
In the following cases, it is necessary to fold to use.
（1）When using a wide stroller that cannot board unless it is folded, or a stroller without a seat belt or stopper
（2）If there is already a passenger using a wheelchair or stroller on board and there is no available boarding space.（See 「Boarding space when using a stroller」）
（3）When it is crowded and strollers cannot pass
（4）When bringing a stroller used as a luggage cart
We may ask you to refrain from boarding if you are using a stroller that cannot be turned while blocks the aisle inside the vehicle.
