New Toei Transportation Information Kiosk
"Minowabashi Memory Hall" to Open!

Located close to Tokyo Sakura Tram's (Toden Arakawa Line) Minowabashi Station!

The Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation (hereinafter "Bureau of Transportation") is announcing that they will open a new information kiosk at Minowabashi Station, located on the Tokyo Sakura Tram Toden Arakawa Line. The new kiosk is to be called the "Minowabashi Memory Hall" and will make it even more convenient for our customers to use Toei Transportation's services.

Minowabashi Memory Hall will provide information on how to use Toei Transportation's services, and will also provide information on sights to see along its lines. It will also sell Tokyo Sakura Tram (Toden Arakawa Line) tickets and merchandise, as well as distribute information booklets.

10:00 to 18:00 (Closed every Tues./Wed. *Open if public holiday)

* Will be open from 09:00 on the opening day

To commemorate the opening of this facility, we will hold an opening event as outlined on the next page.

Outline of "Minowabashi Memory Hall" Opening Event

1. Date/Time

* Will be held even if it rains, but may be cancelled in the event of extreme weather conditions.

2. Location

Tokyo Sakura Tram (Toden Arakawa Line) Minowabashi Station (1-12-6 Minami-Senju, Arakawa Ward)

* There is no car or bike parking available at the venue.
Please use the Tokyo Sakura Tram (Toden Arakawa Line) to attend the event.

3. Details

(1) Opening Ceremony

Ribbon cutting, greeting from event sponsor, commemorative photo etc.

(2) Flower Streetcar Exhibit

To commemorate the opening of the Minowabashi Memory Hall, a Toden streetcar will be decorated with flowers and put on exhibit.

* The type 8502 streetcar being exhibited will not be operating at that time.

This exhibit may be cancelled in the event of poor weather or disruptions to streetcar operations.

(3) Streetcar with a name plate commemorating Tokyo's 150th anniversary to be operated

As part of the "Old meets New: Tokyo 150 Years" project, a type 8502 streetcar will be operated that has been decorated with a name plate commemorating Tokyo's 150th anniversary. The streetcar will be in operation from October 21, 2018 (Sun.) to November 25 (Sun.).
The inside of the streetcar will also be decorated with posters showing photos etc. of past Toden streetcars.

* You can also use devices like your PC or smartphone to check on the streetcar's operating status.

Toden Real-Time Information Service (English only)

Search for the streetcar by going to the Toden Real-Time Information Service website, select "Find a streetcar", and select "Number (8502)", to search for its status.

Old meets New: Tokyo 150 Years

To commemorate 2018 being the 150th anniversary of Tokyo changing its name from Edo, and of the Tokyo metropolitan prefecture being established, the City of Tokyo will be holding a series of events under the concept of "Old meets New: Tokyo 150 Years".
