PASMO Card

PASMO is a convenient transportation system using a single chargeable IC card which allows repeatedly use. A single PASMO card allows you to travel on train and bus in the metropolitan area and can also be used for payment as electronic money at participating PASMO electronic money stores.
PASMO can also be used in all Suica areas in the metropolitan area, Sendai, Niigata, and all participating Suica electronic money stores.

How to use PASMO

Using your PASMO card

[Train] Simply touch your card on the reader of the ticket gate when you get on and off the train.

[Toei Bus/Tokyo Sakura Tram (Toden Arakawa Line)] Simply touch your card on the reader when you get on the bus/tram.

Where to buy and recharge

Ticket machines at stations, commuter's ticket offices and Toei Bus offices/branches, etc.

Starting balance

1,000 to 20,000 yen (available in 1,000-yen increments) * The initial purchase amount includes a 500-yen deposit. Your deposit will be refunded when you cancel your PASMO card

Electronic money

You can use the balance on your card to buy items at station shops and vending machines.
