Lights of "KIBO" (hope) shining out from Nihonbashi
On historic streets such as Edo Sakura-dori street and Honcho-dori street, a champagne gold and bluish white illumination will be set up with "KIBO" (hope) as its theme. The "Shooting Star Cupola" in the Oyane Hiroba (Roofed Outdoor Plaza) of "COREDO Muromachi Terrace" is an interactive illumination art piece that detects shooting stars in Japan's night sky and makes them visible with light displays. Sunshine City 2020 Christmas is Coming!
Get a complete experience of spending Christmas overseas
Photo spots and decorations reminiscent of Christmas overseas will appear in various locations all over Sunshine City. An outdoor illumination with approximately 7,500 lights will shine outside the aquarium, with the "Penguin in the sky" tank illuminated in a changing rainbow of color and the Santa suit diver adding to the exciting Christmas atmosphere.

Marunouchi Illumination 2020
A tree-lined street that sparkles in champagne gold
There are more than 330 trees lining the road illuminated with approximately 1.2 million LEDs in Marunouchi's original color, champagne gold, filling the Tokyo Station and Marunouchi areas with gorgeous light. The illuminated trees continue for around 1.2 km, and the lights are a well-known and characteristic winter sight in Marunouchi.

An hands-on illumination that allows you to play with light
Enjoy a mystical world of light with features such as the "Promenade of Light" illuminated in dazzling gold and the nearly 3-meter "SNOW LIGHT GLOBE" dome displaying falling snow and auroras. There is also another illumination exhibit called "STEP LIGHT" with vivid and beautiful neon colored lights that change with each step, so you can play with light.

Go for a walk through the skyscraper area and enjoy the illumination
Five buildings, four hotels, and one department store in the Nishi-Shinjuku area will be part of a unified illumination display with the theme of "LOVE." In addition to the elaborate lighting, there will also be a special exhibition of works created by HAL Tokyo students learning CG and design called the "LOVE Art Museum."

All of Tokyo Skytree Town® is illuminated with the warmth of approximately 400,000 lights. The limited-edition lightup of Tokyo Skytree® is designed to resemble a Christmas tree or candle flames. If you visit photo spots in the area, you can take a lovely picture with a special Tokyo Skytree in the background that you can't see any other time.
