Toneri Park

The Nemophila flower beds were made last year in Toneri Park, well known as a famous cherry blossom viewing site. The pretty, pale blue flowers spread all over the ground, blending with the blue spring sky, and that creates a fantastic scene. Don’t miss the fabulous photogenic view that you can only see at this time of the year.

An oasis adorned with flowers in the metropolitan city

Kyu-Shiba-rikyu Gardens

One of the remaining feudal lord’s gardens as a typical strolling pond garden created in the early Edo period (1603–1868). Cherry blossoms, Wisteria, Iris, and azaleas are at their best from April to May, and you can appreciate the colorful flowers while walking around the pond.

Feel the spring in this historic garden

Higo Hosokawa Garden

A strolling pond garden with a beautiful three-dimensional view that makes the most of the plateau landscape. You can see the unique beauty of flowers, such as the Higo peony, one of the six flowers of Higo that have been improved since the Edo period, and about 28 varieties of Higo Iris that blooms in turn around the pond.

Superb flower-scented, landscaped garden

Koishikawa Korakuen Gardens

Completed in the early Edo period (1603–1868), this garden features hills and a circular garden with a pond at its center. You can appreciate fringed Iris with its lovely flowers, also known as butterfly flowers, and the Wisteria with its lovely swaying light-purple flower clusters. There is also a rice paddy, which is rare in downtown Tokyo, where you can see the growth of early seedlings.

The busiest flower competition of the year

Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden

From early to late spring, the garden presents a gorgeous scene with about 70 varieties of distinctive cherry blossoms and other flowers unique to spring. With skyscrapers in the distance, a large number of people visit this garden as a metropolitan oasis where they can unwind and enjoy nature.

A place for cherry blossom viewing with a spring breeze

Hikarigaoka Park

Approximately 1,000 cherry trees are in full bloom along the tree-lined avenue leading from Yurinoki Hiroba to the lawn square, which is popular with families. White fringe tree, which has pure white flowers, looks like snow, rarely seen in a garden, will be fully in bloom in GW, which is Japan's long holiday series.
